PDC Cutter stands for Polycrystalline Diamond Compact. A PDC cutter of PDC Drill Bit is the heart and sole of a PDC drill bit. It makes up more than 90% of all drill bits used today for mining, geothermal, oil and gas drilling.

Polycrystalline Diamond Composite (PDC) cutters of PDC Drill Bit  are the main point of contact for a drill bit. PDC Drill bits remove the rock mainly by shearing.

The PDC cutters are exposed to a lot of heating and cooling down the well, a very challenging environment.
